DEATH AND TPD BENEFIT

 

 

In the event of Death or Total & Permanent Disability (TPD), the benefit will be payable based on the following:

First 2 Certificates Years
From Certificate Year 3 Onwards

If you choose to reinvest your payouts, any accumulated value in the Participants’ Investment Account (PIA) will be payable in addition to the Death or TPD benefit.

 

ENHANCED COVERAGE FOR ACCIDENTAL EVENTS

 

 

Should Death or TPD result from an accident, an additional Accidental Death or TPD benefit will be payable based on the following:

Accident in Malaysia
Overseas Accidents

Enjoy hassle-free enrolment up to a limit of RM1.5 million of Basic Annual Contribution, subject to entry age, eligibility criteria and other applicable terms and conditions.

 


Note:

  1. The Total Basic Contribution excludes any top-ups contribution, rider contribution and any other non-basic contribution amounts, where applicable.
  2. Only one extra accidental benefit is allowed per person. Adults are capped at RM 3.5 million and juveniles at RM 2 million per life.
  3. The TPD benefit is subject to a maximum lifetime aggregate limit of RM8 million per life across all TPD benefits.
  4. TPD coverage is payable upon the occurrence of TPD prior to the Certificate Anniversary Date immediately following the Person Covered’s 70th birthday, subject to the terms and conditions of the Takaful Certificate.

1. What is Takaful?

The term ‘Takaful’ refers to a scheme based on brotherhood, solidarity and mutual assistance which provides for mutual financial aid and assistance to the Participants in case of need whereby the Participants mutually agree to contribute for that purpose. Each Participant agrees to contribute on the basis of Tabarru’ (donation) which is pooled together to provide benefits in the event of misfortune suffered by any of its Participants.

2. What is the minimum and maximum entry age under this plan?

The minimum and maximum entry age (based on age next birthday) are as follows:

  • Minimum: 30 days old
  • Maximum: 17 years old

3. What is the minimum and maximum Basic Annual Contribution under this plan?

  • Minimum: RM20,000
  • Maximum: RM1,500,000

4. What are the contribution term and coverage term of this plan?

  • Minimum: RM20,000
  • Maximum: RM1,500,000

5. What are the options available for the payouts under this plan?

You may choose to:

  • Cash out your Annual Payouts and Milestone Payouts when payable; or
  • Reinvest 100% of both Annual Payouts and Milestone Payouts into the Investment-linked Funds.

 

For the reinvest option, you may select from the following Investment-linked Funds:

  • HLMT i-Income Fund
  • HLMT Makmur Fund
  • HLMT i-Balanced Fund
  • HLMT Maa’rof Fund
  • HLMT i-Equity Fund
  • HLMT Global Shariah ESG Fund

 

The payout option selected at inception is fixed and cannot be changed thereafter. Please choose your preferred option carefully which meets your needs.

6. How do the Education Excellence Reward and Tech Bonus benefit work?

  • SPM/STPM or equivalent international examinations (i.e. IGCSE, O-level, A-Level, International Baccalaureate (IB), Diploma Level or such equivalent examination as determined by us).
  • At least eighty percent (80%) “A” grades of the total subjects taken on a single examination sitting.
  • Only 1 claim is allowed under this benefit per certificate and shall only be claimable after the certificate has been inforce for one (1) year from the Certificate Commencement Date.

Tech Bonus

(Device Reward)

Equivalent to 1% of Basic Annual

Contribution paid, capped at RM2,000 per certificate.

  • Reimbursement is limited to only 1 claim under this benefit.
  • Claims must be supported by original receipts with Participant’s or Person Covered’s name and valid proof of purchase by Participant or Person Covered.
  • This benefit shall only be claimable after the certificate has been inforce for one (1) year from the Certificate Commencement Date.
  • An eligible “Device” refers to a portable or non-portable electronic computing or communication device primarily designed for educational or personal use, including laptop, personal computer, desktop computer, tablet, and mobile phone. Accessory, software, warranty, subscription and peripheral device are excluded.

7. What are the optional riders attachable to this basic plan?

8. What are the contribution payment modes and methods?

You can pay your contributions on an annual basis via credit or debit card, auto debit, direct debit, standing instruction or e-Wallet payment.
